Northeastern Baptist Church is a church with the heart of family. Though we come from many different backgrounds, we have each found a place to belong and a place to grow at Northeastern.The preaching ministry of our pastor, Dr. George Coon, is truly one of the highlights of attending Northeastern. As you enjoy Pastor Coon's humorous and colorful stories and unique ways of explaining the teachings of the Bible, you will gain a fresh understanding of what it means to have a relationship with God.Northeastern loves music. In 2002, we asked singer, songwriter, and keyboard artist Nathan Pierpont to be our Pastor of Worship and the Arts. Under his direction the choir and orchestra perform and accompany the congregation every Sunday. We passionately sing classic hymns and contemporary praise and worship music in every service.Northeastern is a teaching church. Under the direction of Associate Pastor Greg Bishop, Pastor of student Ministries Travis Walker, as well as dozens of volunteers, the Children's and Youth Ministries are a constant buzz of excitement and new adventures.Though there are many opportunities for all ages, Northeastern desires to be a servicing church.
